Azobe
The name comes from the African hardwood Azobe, also known as Ekki or Red Ironwood. Tom is an avid woodworker when he has the time and uses many different woods to make fine furniture. Azobe is often used to make railway sleepers due to its exceptional hardness and durability. Used in finer applications it has a beautiful deep red colour and interesting texture resulting in unique pieces.
Fiona Kemp

Fiona has 20 years experience in industry at global companies such as Rolls-Royce Plc, Aero Engine Controls and Parker Meggitt. She has experience and expertise in managing change in organisations, having led departments through factory moves, legal entity changes and ERP implementation. Having extensively developed and delivered ERP training Fiona is able to provide concise and engaging training to improve the effectiveness of employees. The combination of extensive training experience and leading change in companies means Fiona is able to provide clear and concise communication at the right time in a meaningful way to different individuals involved, leading to the success of projects delivering organisational change.

Dr Tom Kemp
Director
Tom has over 15 years experience in research projects for many companies including Johnson Matthey, Birmingham Science City, Warwick University and Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation. He has experience in managing laboratory facilities, in data analysis of large data sets (> billion points) and has published over 30 academic papers. The variety of requirements needed to run a laboratory safely and conduct successful research programs has given Tom a wide expertise in areas from safety through to people management, data analysis and presenting information in both written and personal formats
Tom's technical abilities are complementary to Fiona's expertise in people and process management.
